My name is Princess Bizares and I am an illustrator and painter for animation. In my professional and personal work, I am interested in telling Filipino stories and sharing my culture. I am also interested in sharing the whimsy I often saw as a child and continue to see as an adult, in the natural world as well as in the animals I’ve observed in the wild, particularly, in birds. My illustrations–whether they are paper collage, watercolor, or digital– are a love letter to childhood imagination and allowing myself to take center stage in spaces I did not see myself represented in as a child, as well as finding magic in nature and what others might consider to be mundane.
