I’m a Brazilian-American interdisciplinary artist, social activist, and permaculture designer. The mediums I typically use include film photography, ceramics, and painting.
In my photographic practice, I focus on capturing the ethereal qualities of a place by isolating the intimate moments people have with their environment—whether natural or built—while contrasting this stillness against some type of chaos happening just outside the frame. I’m inspired by places of mixing and high energy, such as the ocean or a busy marketplace. Through this lens, my work invites a deeper reflection on the nature of internal peace, highlighting the tension between personal connection to the world and the external forces that disrupt it.
I have been photographing street scenes and collecting stories in Brazil, India, and Central America since 2016. Recent photo exhibitions include the 2024 RAL Regional Juried Photography Exhibition and pop-up shows with a local artist collaboration, DAC. In 2020, I founded the SNAC Garden Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to enriching communities by cultivating meaningful relationships to nature, food, and art. As the executive director, I continue to lead efforts to inspire deeper connections with our environment.
